On an ongoing base we accept resumes for shift operation of water filtration plant and wastewater treatment plants. Duties include operations, maintenance, cleaning, and some computer data entry.

To qualify as a First Class Operator an individual must possess a Class A water system operator certification suitable for the Moon Township Municipal Authority Filtration Plant and a Class A wastewater system operator certification suitable for the Moon Township Municipal Authority Montour Run Pollution Control Plant. To qualify as a Second Class Operator an individual must possess the required Class A water system operator certification or a Class A wastewater system operator certification. To qualify as an operator Third Class certification is not required. However the individual must have passed the certification exam within the past 3 years for the Class A water system operator certification or Class A wastewater system operator certification.

Wages for the various operator levels are as follows: first Class Operator $25.25, second-class operator $24.15 and third class operator $23.03. Health and dental insurance, paid vacation and paid sick days are also included.
