Refuse & Recycling
The Moon Township Municipal Authority handles refuse and recycling for residents through the assistance of a contract hauler - Waste Management of Pittsburgh. Pertinent information regarding refuse & recycling follows:

HOLIDAY WEEK SOLID WASTE/RECYCLING COLLECTION SCHEDULE
The pick up of solid waste/recycling will be one day late after holidays observed by Waste Management, as shown on the calendar.  If the holiday falls on a weekend, then the garbage/recycling pickup will follow its normal schedule, it will not be delayed a day.

Inclement Weather Collection
During weeks of snowfall and icy road conditions (severe weather), collection service may be late or even fall behind by a day or more. And, during severe weather, please do not place solid waste or recycle containers at locations which may interfere with snow removal efforts.
