Overview of MTMA Services
- Provides water service to 9,000 Moon Township customers
- Provides sewer service to 10,000 customers in Moon, Crescent, and South Heights
- Manages the contract to provide solid waste and recycling collection service to 8,300 Moon residential customers
- Maintains over 215 miles of sanitary sewer and 12 sewage pump stations
- Maintains approximately 145 miles of water mains and 5 water storage tanks
- Operates and maintains one 5.18 million gallons per day (mgd) Water Treatment Plant and two wastewater treatment plants; one rated at 6.2 mgd and the other at 2.0 mgd.
- MTMA provides water service to the Pittsburgh International Airport, Air National Guard base, and the US Air Force base.
- MTMA provides wastewater treatment to Moon, Crescent, South Heights, Pittsburgh International Airport, Air National Guard base, US Air Force base, and portions of Findlay, North Fayette, and Robinson Township
